The Lamborghini Notebook line by ASUS have been forever immortalized which isn’t surprising since the notebooks are extremely hot! The latest design wonder goes by the name of ASUS VX1 Lamborghini Notebook and boy do I want one! A result from the joint collaboration between ASUS and Automobili Lamborghini, the new notebook boasts of style, class and functionality!

It is powered by the latest Intel(R) Core(R) Duo processor T2500 2.0GHz and thanks to the Dual technology one is assured of top class performance without the notebook freezing up during multi-tasking. Using Windows XP as its O.S. the VX1 also sports a 160GB HDD and a 4X DVD Super Multi optical drive. There is also a 15″ SXGA (1400x x 1050) LCD with Color Shine technology which in conjunction with the NVIDIA GeForceGo 7400VX Special Edition chipset let’s you experience breath-taking imagery and graphics.

The VX1 comes in two flavours: black, and the more traditional Lamborghini yellow. Both are attractive, but our yellow review sample makes an instant retina-searing impression straight out of the box, making it the more suitable poser’s accessory. Asus says the laptops use the same paint finish as the iconic cars, incorporating subtle golden paint flecks that catch the light of the sun, as well as the famous Lamborghini logo.

One of my hands-down favorite luxury cars is a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, so it was only fitting that ASUS would send me a VX1 with a bright yellow top (it’s available in solid black, too). The laptop’s lid slants downward toward the front bezel just like the hood of a real sports car. The brushed aluminum exterior is also strongly reminiscent of the Spyder. Of course, no supercar laptop would be complete without an emblem; in this case, the distinctive raging-bull Lamborghini logo.
