Encryption seems to be all the rage these days, especially for those that are on the go. Unfortunately those that are on the go and have lots of data to protect simply don’t have many options as flash drives simply don’t offer the space that bus-powered hard drives. Fortunately companies are realizing this and hardware encrypted drives are starting to pop up for your use. Today Apricorn announces the launch of its Aegis Vault line of hard drives.
These drives are 2.5", bus-powered, feature 128-bit AES hardware encryption, and have 16-point omni-directional shock mounting to keep your drive safe. The drive also supports public (unencrypted) and private (encrypted) partitions, allowing up to 3 unique users and one administrator for password protection. Drives are available in 80GB to 250GB capacities, have a 3 year limited warranty, and will run between $139 and $269.
