Seagate announced its “World’s First 1.5TB Desktop HDD”, the Barracuda 7200.11, which should be able in August. This new 3.5-Inch SATA HDD integrates 4 platters of 375GB and provides a data rate transfer of 120MB/second. Also available in 1TB, 750GB, 640GB, 500GB, 320GB and 160GB version.
Seagate also announced 2.5-Inch 500GB 5400/7200rpm HDD, the Momentus Series. Concerning this series, they will be available in Q4.
