image Antec’s Notebook Cooler 200 is a pretty standard notebook cooler. It is a one-size-fits-all affair that sits under your notebook, which presumably would make it better for desk use than lap use. It features a 200mm fan which is big enough to get reasonable airflow from low speed settings - 400 and 600RPM are the options on this model.

The cooler is USB powered and while a little bulky can be moved around in a pinch. The dimensions of the Notebook Cooler 200 are 3.8? (H) x 19? (W) x 4.2? (D) and it weighs in at 3.4 pounds.

In this review we find out how well it works under the most demanding situations, with a Gateway P-7811 FX gaming notebook with a NVIDIA 9800M GTS graphics card running at full load.

Additionally failing the cooling properties of aluminium, the hi-tech trivet has been fitted with two 70mm ball-bearing fans. The fans, which aren’t the quietest in the world, certainly push out a draft drawing the heat away from the laptop in question. Power is provided either by an optional power pack or a USB cable that you connect to your laptop, which has a pass through connector on it so you don’t lose your USB socket for other more important things.
