The X200 notebooks combine Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest notebooks with long-life battery to provide the ultimate in portability. X Series notebooks are consistently available with the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, which delivers a wide variety of benefits including true parallel processing when running multi-threaded applications or multiple applications simultaneously. The Lenovo ThinkPad X200 7454 Notebook features 2 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive.

Durability
On-the-go people sometimes put themselves – and their notebooks – into risky situations. X Series notebooks are tough enough to take it. And on the new X200, a magnesium-alloy roll cage in the top and bottom cover helps to protect your system against flexing, impacts and accidental drops.

Core Technology
X Series notebooks are consistently available with the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, which delivers a wide variety of benefits including true parallel processing when running multi-threaded applications or multiple applications simultaneously. The Intel Centrino Pro platform (select models) provides hardware-based security and enhanced manageability, along with exceptional performance and outstanding mobility.

Extra Long Battery Life
ThinkPad X Series offers all-day computing, with battery life up to 12-plus hours (depending on configuration). How? Custom Lenovo power management features plus carefully selected low-voltage processors and, on the new X200 and X300, new Solid State Drives with no moving parts. And X Series always offers the latest battery technology, for example the new Lithium-Polymer units which store more energy in a smaller space.

Built In Solutions and Security
X Series models come equipped with an Integrated Fingerprint Reader and 32-byte pre-boot password protection to help guard against external threats. Together with preloaded ThinkVantage Client Security Solution software, you have an integrated security solution right out of the box. There is even an option to disable all input and output ports on the BIOS level, as a final layer of protection for your information.

At 1440 x 900 pixels, the X200s’ 12.1-inch widescreen display is a boost over the X200’s screen (1280 x 800 pixels). It results in sharper images but also smaller icons and fonts. The screen is protected by a carbon and glass fiber frame, which is light and durable and, according to Lenovo, makes for better Wi-Fi reception. We downloaded a high-definition trailer of Quantum of Solace and were impressed with the crisp images, deep blacks, and color balance. The screen’s matte finish ensured minimal glare, although practical viewing angles are limited to one person on either side of the screen.

Review By Pocket-lint

The X200 is a highly portable machine, weighing in at 1.6kg, but the low weight has been achieved at the expense of the optical drive. You won’t be able to watch films on the move then, but a docking station is included in the price. Within this you’ll find an external DVD drive, offering a useful compromise between mobility and features. The UltraBase docking station also offers four extra USB ports, but it’s a shame there’s no digital display output.

Review By Tabletpcreview

The X200 is a solid tablet with the same signature ThinkPad design. If you don’t like the plain black design your out of luck. It has new features like the bi-directional hinge that used to only be available on Fujitsu tablets, improved battery life and better wireless radio. I had no problems connecting to the Internet once I changed a few settings around. Some users may get confused by this, but it was easy.
