The N110 is the same weight and size as its forebear. Measuring 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches and weighing 2.8 pounds (even with the higher-capacity six-cell battery), the N110 is slightly wider and thicker than HP Mini 2140, but thinner and lighter than the 3.2-pound ASUS Eee PC 1000HE. When we popped the N110 (in its included felt case) and its AC adapter in a bag, the travel weight of 3.4 pounds didn’t put any strain on our shoulder.

Despite having been released today, fellows over at Laptop Magazine were lucky enough to score one of these new netbooks and put it through its paces. According to their review, Samsung has managed to create a netbook that comes very close to perfection. Some of its major strong points include the improved ergonomics of the touchpad and the 7+ hours of battery life.

The external design has had a major re-design with the Samsung N110 now boasting a thinner base, black gloss finish on the lid, rounded edges on the palm rest, and a red stylish trim for a professional look. Other features include 802.11b/g WiFi, 3x USB 2.0 ports, 3-1 multi-card reader, audio input and output, Ethernet and VGA output.
